THE COLLECTION WAS SOLD IN 2011
This collection of 48 x-ray tubes and 2 radio tubes was owned by James F. Lee, an inventor and manufacturer of x-ray tubes beginning in the late 1920's through the 1930's. His manufacturing lab was located in Palo Alto, CA (now Menlo Park). The tubes he manufactured were very high quality and, according to letters from purchasers, even better than major manufacturers like Coolidge.
